The Client

Our client was a business owner, with a majority stake in his company. He was planning to sell part of his business as well as one of the subsidiary companies. With a pending sale, the client was drawing very little by way of income as the funds were being re-invested back into the business. So when the client’s dream home came onto the market a solution was required.

The Solution

We were able to source a Private Bank that was able to take a holistic view of the client’s ability to earn, even though the client had a minimal income. They were able to take the view that should the client need to draw more income, the option was there as he was a majority stakeholder in the business. The Private Bank was able to take a view on a pending future sale knowing that the mortgage could be potentially paid down to 65% loan to value and that a wider relationship was on the table as an option once the sale of the business took place.
