Case Study –Completing a Remortgage Within a Tight Timeframe

The Client

A couple needed to refinance their main residence on a like-for-like repayment basis.

They had initially intended to arrange the mortgage directly. However, increasing work and personal commitments meant they no longer had the time or capacity to manage lender research, documentation and application progression themselves.

With the existing mortgage rate approaching expiry, the priority was to take control of the process and progress the refinance without unnecessary delay.

The Solution

We reviewed the available lenders and identified an option able to accommodate the clients’ affordability position, including employed income, two dependants, childcare expenditure and an existing hire purchase commitment. Approximately £258,000 was arranged at 62% loan-to-value on a repayment basis, with a two-year fixed rate. From there, we managed the lender requirements and application progression through to completion.
